Hi, my name is Bryce. I grew up designing and building things. I enjoy the challenge of balancing visual appeal and function. I write weekly articles and do photography for the Uniquely Nelson website. Writing compelling content is something I really enjoy.
In 2004 I completed my BA/B Tch (double degree) majoring in Visual Arts, Graphic design and Education. I have always worked in the creative lane. I’m also a qualified Boat Builder, which required me to think creatively every day and this has influenced my approach to building websites, writing for magazines, writing music and problem solving in general.
I love teaching my clients how to use their websites to get the maximum return on their investment.
A website that’s not being regularly updated is like having a shop with the lights turned off. By using the powerful blog features for feeding out new information significantly helps your website get seen.
The personal touch
The New Zealand based hosting I use is brilliant and my clients love it. I work closely with Slightly Different Ltd which offer the best tech support, technical advice and smooth hassle-free hosting. We enjoy regular mountain bike adventures. He has become a great friend and mentor to me over the years.
The local N.M.I.T Visual Arts and Digital Media Department invited me to serve on the Curriculum advisory panel, which I enjoy giving back to my local community by helping the tutors deliver industry-relevant course content. I remember my first year at University, so it feels great being able to have some input and help inspire the students to do their best and prepare them for the industry when they graduate.
When I’m not working online I’m out mountain biking in the hills above Nelson with my dog Micky. On the weekends, I enjoy hitting the gym and making new music in my recording studio. Why don’t you have a sneaky listen? www.brycewastney.com
