You definitely get what you pay for. For cheap hosting you are buried in a pile of thousands of websites, have to wait in call centres to get a technical issue resolved, the server location will be in a different country usually China, USA or Europe (making it slower to transfer info when someone visits your site)
Also additional extras, like SSL certs are often expensive so add on’s actually make them more expensive in some situations even though they appear cheaper – they are not.
